BACKGROUND

I am a well-travelled train enthusiast and photographer primarily based in Somerset. All my early photos are taken using a Sony A37 entry-level DSLR. This was my second camera after I upgraded from the Fujifilm Finepix S1730 bridge camera in October 2012. I upgraded to the next camera model in the DSLR market at the time by purchasing the Sony A77 Mk.2 camera in December 2015. Since April 2017, I entered new territory by switching over to Canon with their entry, full-frame 6D model; along with a range of new lenses. Moving over to a full-frame DSLR has vastly improved the quality of my images as you’ll likely notice when you browse through my portfolio, especially by comparison to my earlier work.
