Pasopati 410 Whiskey-class Submarine
KRI Pasopati 410 is a Whiskey-class submarine, made in Vladi Wostok Russia in 1952. The Submarine participated in Indonesian Navy since January 29, 1962, the main task was to destroy enemy (anti-shipping), monitor and conduct silent raids. KRI Pasopati 410 has taken a big role in maintaining marine law.

Pasopati 410 KRI now mounted on pedestal in Surabaya riverside, this place is popularly called as Monkasel (Monumen Kapal Selam) or Submarine Monument. The monument is on a full scale (not a replica), and one of submarines from the Eastern Division Fleet.
The Submarine Monument is the largest Submarine monument in Asian, which was built on the side of the Kalimas river, Surabaya. This monument was built with the idea of the Navy's elders as a legacy of historical value that reflects Indonesia as a Maritime Nation.
It's very nice to visit this place, we can see the whole classic Whiskey-class submarine. It's one of surviving classic submarines. We can go inside the submarine, then see and explore what's inside. It's really fun, enjoyable, and recommended. Especially for people who loves submarine and history :)
