The Forest Home was a wooden 4 mast Schooner - Forest Home, Passengers in History 1836, South Australia Maritime Museum

The ship was purchased by tender in October 1923 by Holm and Co following court order to be sold due to the Captain's insolvency. It was towed by steamer from Wanganui to Wellington and underwent a six plus month refit and renamed the Holmwood.
