February 2019 Desktop Calendar

I am not sure what makes the little church at Búðir - a little hamlet out on the south side of Snaefellsness - so popular. It is what you see. A small, mostly one-room little church - painted black with white trim sitting in a field of little yellow flowers and grass. There's a small stone wall and a little gate. And that's about it. It sits 2-3 miles from the mountains behind it, and maybe a half-mile from the sea behind me. And yet it's one of the most photographed buildings in all of Iceland...And somehow I get it - even if I don't get it. I think it's because, as photographers, we all kinda copy other photographers and yet try to make things our own.

So there you go - cheated at just 28 days for February - but you can still head over to the Central Illinois Photo Blog to grab one of your very own.
