A larger than life project
The SR 520 Pontoon Construction Project will provide 33 of the 77 pontoons needed for the new SR 520 floating bridge on Lake Washington. As of the date of this photo, June 20, 2013, crews have completed two cycles in Aberdeen and work is underway on the third cycle.
Construction crews are underway on the third cycle of SR 520 bridge pontoons in Aberdeen. In this cycle, crews will build six total pontoons:
• Four longitudinal pontoons (360 ft. x 75 ft. x 29 ft.)
• Two supplemental stability pontoons (98 ft. x 60 ft. x 28 ft.)
