The Lord Nelson
During our cricketing getaway in 2019, Stephen and I stayed in a hotel on the north-western edges of York which meant we were handily placed for visiting the nearby villages of Upper Poppleton and Nether Poppleton. The latter location is where we found the Lord Nelson pub, a traditionally rustic inn complete with this John Smith's-branded portrait sign.
