245-Lyons Corner House, Oxford Street (7/11)

A wonderful photo by Wolfgang Suschitzky, an Austrian photographer who emigrated to the UK in 1934 to escape the Nazis and after finding work in London, took many celebrated photographs. Wikipedia states.... "Suschitzky was born above his family’s socialist bookshop. In an interview at the age of 95 in September 2007, he recalled boyhood memories of the excitement that greeted the Russian Revolution in 1917." As there is no news of his death, it would seem that this year, he will celebrate his 100th birthday!

Looking at this photo and the view of the Mountview restaurant in pic 247, it seems fairly clear they are one and the same location.
