I have have ventured into new territory. Flash candids at night. I was terrified. It turned out very positive. Talked to a lot of people. No confrontations. A few people complaining here and there but nothing too harsh.

I was in Old City and I was having a rough time getting good shots due to the low light levels. In my frustration I tried a few flash shots. It was okay so I kept on going. I had not planned on doing flash; it was born purely out of frustration.

The delay on the flash was a problem, so I had to change my anticipation calculation, especially if people were walking. There's also a big delay between flash shots so it's one shot and done, not constant clicking like I typically do.

Also out of my bag of tricks is hip shots, or any quick kind of shot. At night with flash, there is little choice but to step right up to people hold the camera up and steady, anticipate, and get your one snap in. No fear.
