Arrowhead Spiketail - late male! (Cordulegaster obliqua)
I've got lots of pretty flowers and now butterflies to post - but it's all about dragonflies right now. I had never seen this species in July and I've now seen 2 this month: a tattered female and this male going strong but with old wings. His baby blue eyes and length (he looked 4" long) just stood out in the meadow - one of our largest odes. About 100 feet from him a tiny foty Blue-faced meadowhawk has been hiding in shade - not more than an inch long. 7-12-25 @ the wetlands/N Georgia
