Spot-winged glider (Pantala hymenaea) - yesterday
Second of the season - these are uncommon to rare perched but probably are fairly common by late Summer. If you see a reddish glider in-flight it's likely a female glider; if you see a dark glider it's probably a Spot-winged (the spots may or may not be visible in-flight - even hard to see perched). At the wetlands, North GA on a 95o day - btw River cruisers skim our heads repeatedly as they play with us but they aren't perching! Watching for Stylurus sps to start up ...
