U.S., Filipino soldiers hit the range together at Balikatan 2017

SANTA ROSA, PHILIPPINES (May 9, 2017) - Philippine and U.S. Soldiers fire M4 carbine weapons during counterterrorism training in support of Balikatan 2017 at Fort Magsaysay in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija. By training together, U.S. and Philippine service members build upon shared tactics, techniques and procedures that enhance readiness and response capabilities to counterterrorism operations. Balikatan is an annual U.S.-Philippine bilateral military exercise focused on a variety of missions including humanitarian and disaster relief, counterterrorism, and other combined military operations.
