The 2010 Chelsea Flower Show starts Today (if you are a Royal, VIP or Celebrity)

This was a Gold Medal winning vegetable display at the 2005 Chelsea Flower Show. It was one of the most colorful exhibits inside the Floral Marquee. I believe that exhibitor was Medwyn Jones of Wales, who had been winning medals for over 40 years.

Today the Judges inspect everything and vote on medals, the Royal Family pays a visit, and all the "beautiful people" are admitted. Tomorrow, Royal Horticultural Society Members are allowed inside, and then the general public is admitted on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Once again, I will not be there this year, but I am confident that several of my contacts and others will put up some good pictures here.

The BBC still has not come up with a way so that those of us outside the UK can pay to subscribe to its television coverage on the IPlayer. If anyone reading these comments knows of a way that I can see the nightly BBC Chelsea coverage now over the Internet in the US, I would be most appreciative. I plan to get the one hour DVD when it comes out, but would also like to see the nightly BBC coverage if that is somehow available. Perhaps someone will post some of it on YouTube and it will stay up long enough to watch before it is taken down??

As I did last year, I plan to post links at the end of the week to the best online videos and other coverage that I find.
