Pitches store and Southern cross

When I first took this Ithought the discolouration was interference from ambient light but later when I was doing some other star shots well away from other light sources I found it was still there. I later discovered there was some type of solar storm exciting the atmosphere and this was what I had recorded. Not an aurora as such but still interesting.
