Western Lynx Spider nest on Bush Monkeyflower

This is another shot of the nest of the Western Lynx Spider (Oxyopes scalaris, Oxyopidae) on native Southern Bush Monkeyflower (Diplacus longiflorus, Phrymaceae) in the woods a few days ago. There's no sign of the spider and it looks abandoned, but she same back -- see this photo taken yesterday. Happy Web Webnesday! (San Marcos Pass, 15 September 2024)
