Swainson's Hawk in flight

A sure sign of spring is when we start seeing these Argentinian visitors show up. On this day, they seemed to be out in force, hunting in the chilly conditions following a late season snowstorm. This particular Swainson's Hawk was patrolling the fields in Adams County, Colorado.
