Maryhill Burgh Halls_interior_03

Inside the reception to JM Architects Maryhill Burgh Halls Refurbishment. This is a cracking piece of architecture - great to photograph and gives a very modern, fresh future to a building that has sat derelict for too long! Passing this building everyday, it's been good to finally see the building in use, and it looks like it will become a great facility for the area... The building has a very dynamic layout, and an array of flexible performance, work, and community spaces set around a central courtyard which allows good natural light into the building... My D200 has done me well over the years, and continues to work well - i've always been impressed with its colour rendition - However, squeezing into tight corners is part of the nature of architecture photography, i've reached the point where a 'full frame' camera is becoming essential to get the most out of of my lenses... So i'm looking forward to investing wisely in some new gear over the next few months... and think the difference in quality with the likes of a Nikon D3 or the promising D800 will be some change!
