On Oregano - _TNY_4147

Two European peacocks (Aglais io) enjoying the many flowers on the oregano (Origanum vulgare) in my mother-in-law's garden.

 

This species used to be sorted in its own genus as Inachis io - but nowadays it has been incorported with Aglais alongside the tortoiseshells.
