Closer and Closer, Pt. 2 - _TNY_6769S3

Shooting bug macro obviously involve a good portion of sneaking. How close can you get to the subject before you scare it off?

This leads to taking "safety shots" from far away - and then another a little closer, and another even closer and so on if the subject is still there.

This leads to you (or at least me) coming home with a whole bunch of shots that are further away (ie not as good) and then a keeper. But, since "film" is free these days, its not much of a problem.

This one was like that with between five or ten shots while inching closer - but she hung in there and stayed put! This is actually three shots which I combined using Zerene Stacker to get a little extra depth of field.

Oh, and this is a female common bluet (Enallagma cyathigerum).

Part 1 is also a three-exposure focus stack - but shot after (ie closer) here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51851557047/
