Tried to Hide - _TNY_4484

This 4th instar nymph of the green shieldbug (Palomena prasina) wasn't really interested in having its portrait taken and tried to hide on the underside of a leaf.

 

Inconsiderate me wasn't going to let that stop me though so I flipped the leaf over and ended up wit this shot against a paler background than usual.

 

Also, look at those cute black toes!
