Baby Killer, Pt. 4 - _TNY_4592
Here is a male (as evidenced by the huge chelicerae) zebra spider (Salticus scenicus) which has caught and is eating a much smaller jumping spider, possibly a juvenile of the same species.
This is actually from the first couple of shots I took after finishing the build of v4 of my diffuser (back in 2020). I just stepped out the front door and found this scene on the side of the house! After getting a couple of shots with the 100L + Raynox, I took a chance and abandoned them and rushed in to change to the MP-E65mm lens to get closer, but when I came back outside, the spider was gone.
Looks kind of cool (and gruesome) like this as well though.
