Blunt Elf, Pt. 2 - _TNY_9765
This rather smallish hoverfly is a female banded thintail (Meliscaeva cinctella). It doesn't look very small here, but that is because the photo was taken at 2:1 magnification and the flower it is visiting is a signet marigold (Tagetes tenuifolia), a species which has very small flowers.
The Dutch name for this species is if I've understood correctly an odd one. There, this is a "stomp elfje" which translated into English means "blunt elf"!
