Autumn Red, Pt. 2 - _TNY_0090

This is a male common darter (Sympetrum striolatum) I found (with a bunch of buddies) on a barbed wire fence in the Näsudden nature reserve outside Åkersberga north of Stockholm, Sweden in early September.

The norwegian name for this species - "senhøstlibelle" meaning "late autumn dragonfly" is a good indication of how common this one is compared to other species at this time of year.

Looks pretty happy, wouldn't you say?
