Not Blue Bluet - _TNY_4986
The common bluet (Enallagma cyathigerum), like this female from near my mom's summer house in Värmdö, Sweden, really is common - but sometimes the bluet isn't blue.
The simple explanation for this is just that it's only the males which are blue and the females instead have this greyish white hue albeit with the same black markings as the males.
This species is easily recognised because of the thin black line on the side of the thorax and all the other blue damsel species in Sweden have more black on the sides.
