Wing Glitter - _TNY_0101
September is normally quite late in the season for dragonflies in Stockholm, Sweden, but the common darter (Sympetrum striolatum) like this female, is a species which is active quite a long way into autumn/fall.
And since we also have had a couple of days up here with ridiculously high temps for September (~25°C / ~77°F) they were out and about in full effect when I made a second visit to the Näsudden nature reserve near Åkersberga north of Stockholm.
This particular one is sitting on a fence post and I got a whole bunch of shots of both males and females perched poth on the posts and also on the barbed wire in between.
