Uninvited, Pt. 3 - _TNY_5359

The first week of August (of 2023), most of Sweden experienced quite bad weather with lots and lots of rain. Not the best vacation weather, but at least I get to be indoors, right?

 

So one of those evenings, my wife noticed this guy on the wall in the kitchen, right up by the ceiling. Now I like birch shieldbugs (Elasmostethus interstinctus) just as much as the next guy, but this one still had to go outside.

 

My mother-in-law's veranda has a ceiling so it was still dry and I noticed a pot with some pink sort of Aster growing in it there so I dropped Mr Shieldbug on the flowers and went for the camera - made for a cool background, right?
