Wasp for Lunch, Pt. 5 - _TNY_5467
Just a couple of meters away from the male European garden spider (Araneus diadematus) I posted here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51417841268/, I found this large female enjoying lunch.
This day, the menu consisted of common wasp (Vespula vulgaris) which seemed to go down well.
The web was kind of low and close to the side of the house so I had to lay down on my back and sneak the camera in between the house and the web from below, but it worked out in the end.

The same scene - but shot using the macro lens on my phone here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/51466495339/
