Danger Dandelion - _TNY_9106

Any flying insect hoping to get some pollen or nectar out of this dandelion outside my house better watch out as there was this little danger buddy there with arms (legs?) raised in preparation of striking whoever gets close enough.

 

Ths is a female goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia) and since she is capable of changing her white colour into a yellow even more intense than that of the dandelion (which takes a day or two), perhaps her ambush prospects were even further impoved later on.
