White Spider - _TNY_5369
With the latter part of the summer being pretty much all rain up here, I didn't see too many of these. But this little lady was at least hanging out on a tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) at the edge of my mother-in-law's garden out side Härnössand, Sweden.
It is a female goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia) and given that they can shift colour into yellow (which takes a couple of days), I would think that this one would do that if she decided to stay in the tansies. But then again, it might be that there is some spectrum of light which we can't see but spiders - or their prey - do and this might actually be the perfect colour to wear while ambusing bees and hoverflies on a yelly tansy.
