Looking at this shot of a blue-banded morpho (Morpho achilles), I bet you have no ide why it has gotten that name?
Oh, you do? Well, I suppose there is a small chance of it being understandable.
Either way, this is a shot from a mid-January visit to the Haga Ocean butterfly house in Solna, Sweden. This particular day was quite possibly the visit there of mine with the most butterflies flying which was nice. Unfortunately, the vast majority of them were all the same species - this one. It is usually more varied, but not this time. It is however a very attractive species and I manged to spot a couple of other cool species so still a great visit.
