Coffee Break, Interrupted - _TNY_7541
So I was having a cup of coffee with my mom on the deck outside her summer house.
Coffee is important to me (like most Swedes) and the sun was shining at basically summer intensity, but I picked up a bit of unusual movement in the corner of my eye and gave up my coffee to investigate.
I felt very lucky when I discovered it was this male v-fronted jumper (Aurelius v-insignitus) which was traversing the deck the way only jumpers do - boing boing boing at a speed which makes it look like they are teleporting.
Obviously I had to adapt my shooting to a subject bouncing around and never staying still for more than a few seconds, but I still ended up with a couple of useable shots of this, which is one of the country's cutest jumpeer species.
If you look at the top of the head, you can see the chevrons that give this one its Swedish name "vinkelhoppspindel", meaning "angle jumping spider".
