Not Getting Around Much, Pt. 3 - _TNY_0903

The silver-studded blue (Plebejus argus) is a pretty butterfly, but it's not much of a traveller. Typically one of these flies no more than twenty meters (65 feet) per day.

This particular specimen was found at the tip of Havtornsudd (Sea Buckthorn Point) on the small peninsula of Gålö in the southern Stockholm archipelago.

Do take the time to zoom in and have a look on the cool wavy pattern on the upper side of the wings. Almost makes me think of the grooves on a vinyl record.
