We wanted to rejuvenate out front door a bit and went with a blueish gray woodstain which looked great - at first.
As is painfully apparent in this 3.7:1 magnification shot - the wood was too dry and really would have benfitted from some oil before applying the paint.
Oh, and the cute one in the shot is an Attulus terebratus jumping spider which obviously was what prompted the shot.
