The green crab spider (Diaea dorsata) like this female on the leaves of a fern in the Rudan nature reserve is not that uncommon here in Sweden which makes it annoying that I've had such a hard time finding any to shoot.
What exacerbates the problem is also that these guys (and girls like this one)are very good at hiding on the far side of things.
Each time I got close with the lens it hid on the underside of the fern and when I turned the leaf around it went back to the other side again. Eventually I tricked her by waving my hand underneath the plant and when she got up top I was ready with the camera and snapped a shot.
I think the nice pattern of the fern made for a nice bonus here.
