Dragon at the Intersection of... - _TNY_3636

The chalky percher (Diplacodes trivialis), also known as the blue ground skimmer, is one of the most common dragonflies in Asia.

 

This is a female and her apperance doesn't reall explain the name. The adult males however develop a pruinosed blue colour (as seen here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/41045428734/). So what is "pruinosed"? Well, Pruinecence (aka pruinosity) means a frosted matte, almost dusty appearance and makes the males easily identifyable.
