Uncut White - _TNY_3208
While trimming the hedge out back in early September I found this guy hiding between a couple of leaves.
The hedge is a fanleaf hawthorn (Crataegus flabellata) which has pretty mean thorns, but I still managed to stick the MP-E65 (about a week old at that point) close enough for this portrait.
The butterfly is either a wood white (Leptidea sinapis) or a cryptic wood white (Leptidea juvernica) - Ir eally can't tell from just this shot.
