Eyes in the Back of the Neck - _TNY_8436

This little beauty on top of a dead leaf is what I believe Pardosa lugubris wolf spider (no vernacular English name).

 

Out of the eight eyes, the two larger ones up front are the main ones used for hunting - but having an extra pair in your neck to keep a look out for scary photographers stalking you could come in handy.
