The Yellow Flower - _TNY_1937

The nettle-leaved mullein (Verbascum chaixii) is a beautiful plant with long stalks covered in beautiful yellow flowers with nicely contrasting purple stamen.

But wait, yellow? These really don't look that yellow, do they? Yes, that is very observant of you - but it turns out there is a white variant of the same plant which still retains those cool purple stamen.
