The Vulcan Salute - _TNY_5341S5 (In Explore 20/10 2020)

This is one of the running crab spiders in the Philodromus aureolus group, ie one of several very similar species not possible to identify closer without literally picking it apart.

Since that's really my thing, I prefer to enjoy it like this instead.

This one was, contrary to it's name, not running at all, but just sat completely still on a white flower outside the house and let me take several shots without moving. This is a five exposure focus stack captured at 2.2:1 magnification with the Canon MP-E65mm lens and compiled into a single image using Zerene Stacker.
