Magnum P.I. - _TNY_5416
My wife discovered a small spider on the pot where she kept an olive tree. Or technically it was on the stainless steel pan in which the pot stood to soak up water.
The poor little spider was running along the edge of the pan and didn't realize she was already back where she started. After seeing her run two full laps I decided to help her, but she didn't want to socialize and jumped into the water and simply ran across it and up into the olive tree.
While she was running up and down the stem (the trunk?) of the tree I managed to get this show at 2.2:1 magnification which shows than not only is she covered by soft hairs, but also that the dark chelicerae makes her look like she has a thick black moustache.
This is one of two species of sac-spider, either a Clubiona pallidula or a C. phragmitis.
