The dock bug (Coreus marginatus) goes from egg via four instar stages before taking the final form as an adult specimen.
This one is in the fourth and final stage before becoming an adult.
Look at the back - do you see how short the wings are? All instars look like that and it's only the adults that have large wings covering the back.
