Looking for Babes - _TNY_6402
My mother-in-law's garden outside Härnösand, Sweden, has a large pond and I usually find a few different species of dragonflies there every summer. This summer there was a new species there, the yellow-winged darter (Sympetrum flaveolum)
This male was perched on top of a dead flower, on the lookout for any hot ladies to fool around with and any other males to charge and drive away.
Tried shooting without flash for once which created a somewhat different look.
