This is the exuvia, or more correctly exuviae, of a four-spotted chaser/skimmer (Libelllula quadrimaculata). The nymph has climbed out of the water found a secure grip and then the skin has ruptured along the back and the adult dragonfly has crawled out of it and taken to the sky.
