A Dangerous Place to Rest, Pt. 1 - _TNY_0680

This globe flower (Trollius chinensis 'Golden Queen') sure is pretty, but perhaps there was less risky places to visit for this fly.

 

I'm sure the juvenile raft spider (Dolomedes fimbriatus) was pleased though - at least the small graveyard of fly remains in the back of the flower tells that story.
