Tiny Test Subject - _TNY_8513
I recently got myself a new flash and simultaneously constructed a new flash diffuser for it.
So when it was (almost) completed I got outside to find a suitable invertebrate to do some test shots on.
Unfortunately, this was at 17:30 on a somewhat cold day which in mid-May means not many critters are active (at least not with the crappy weather we've been having lately).
I did however see a very small black spider on the side of the house and got really close and discovered this male Sittipub pubescens jumping spider which I actually find quite lovely.
S. pubescens is a rather small species, so this was taken at 3.7:1 magnification and I think the diffuser is performing nicely so far.
