Making an Exception - TNY_0883

My Walnut orb-weavers (Nuctenea umbratica) usually don't come out when the sun is up, but when such a juicy meal gets stuck in your net you have to abandon your principles a bit, right?

The bee put up a good fight though. Typically both Nuctenea umbratica and Araneus diadematus wrap their catch up in no time at all, but for some reason this bee continued to struggle for several minutes and the spider appeared a bit frustrated about it not giving up.

This little stuggle took place so high I had to shoot it with my arms outstretched so using the DCR-250 was out of the question.
