Madman Unleashed
The Bronze Dais lies somewhere amongst the deserts of the badlands. Rumour has it that the Disciples of the Three Mysteries have several such altars hidden amongst the dunes and hills there and use them to conduct profane rituals.
Was this poor madman the victim of a ritual (perhaps one to induct him into the Three Mysteries as a Mindbound) gone wrong, or was the intent always to open a gateway to the Warp in his body?
This model is TTCombat's Madman Unleashed, part of their Carnevale game. I have painted them up for use as a Chaos Spawn in Warcry. I built up the Dais of Bronze to give the model a bit more heft as Chaos Spawns need 50mm bases and the Madman Unleashed would have been a little on the small size otherwise.
The model was primarily painted with Contrast paints over a zenithal undercoat, though the tentacles got heavily repainted in order to make them look more similar to the tentacles on the Aberration and the Mutalith Vortex Beast.
