Just got a special gift from the folks over at Round Valley so I had to go back and process this one. I took this back on Valentines day morning from the top of Round Valley, something that I've done a few times now but never with much of a result. Not an easy task it generally requires getting up near 330 driving close to an hour before setting out into the oak woodland in the pitch black where you hike a couple miles rising a little over a thousand feet before arriving at the prime spots. On this morning a very cold storm had cleared from the previous night bringing snow to Diablo and a very large portion of the Ohlone wilderness. It was freezing but the visibility is ridiculous on days like this. Clouds filled in pretty quickly but for a brief moment it was amazing, well worth the effort!!!
