Golden Sun Farm Service Elevator - Estherville, IA

A view of the elevator the day before it was burned in fire department training exercise on November 9, 2019.

A crane had been brought in to remove the top of the elevator, and workers were salvaging metal and other items prior to the fire. One commented on a Facebook post that he had to watch his step very carefully inside the elevator as the floor was heavily rotted .

Built circa 1897 for the McCord Bros. Elevator Co. It was owned by the Greig & Zeeman Co. in the 1900's-1910's and by B.B. Anderson & Sons by 1920. It was burned down as a training exercise for local fire departments on November 19, 2019.
