Svojanov Castle
A guard castle defending a trade route, founded around 1224, known as the most spooked Czech castle, and through the highest number of walled in people. It was well fortified and important for country defense, underwent periodical reconstructions in actual architectonical styles. It was damaged in 1569 by fire, repaired and used more like a economic complex, after another fire in 1842 a empire style reconstruction was done. Modern restoration work began in the 1970´s and still continues. Many rumors speak about countless ghosts roaming the castle at night, pretty few people are told to be walled in through the castle´s history.
