I used Prismacolour pencils - still have lots of shading practise to do. I get mixed up between the actual colour of the flower, where it needs to be in colour, but not necessarily shaded for shadow - if that makes sense!! lol - thanks for looking :))

I've been wanting to try to decorate a candle like this for ages!! I've got a week off work and had time to finally give it a go.

First draw your design on tissue paper, then wrap your paper around a candle. Next grab some waxed paper and wrap it around the candle. (so you have 2 layers now, the tissue paper and waxed paper). Then you carefully hover a heat gun or in my case, I used a hairdryer around the candle. You will see the colour of the paper changing - it kinda melts into the wax. As this was my first time, I wasn't sure how it would go and wanted to use a pattern that was fairly quick to draw as I was very eager to jump right in - I used Mi2 - a longtime favourite of mine. Had a juice bottle sitting next to me, took off the cap & drew around it, the rest is freehand ... did this one in full color, with Sakura permaopaque marker, Prisma colored pencils & white and gold jellyroll pens ... did this one right after dinner, fell asleep with pen in hand & hand several boo-boo's to work in & fix up.:) I've done this so many times I should know better by now! Part of getting older I guess! :) THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR TAKING PRECIOUS MOMENTS FROM YOUR DAY TO COMMENT ON MY WORK ... THEY ARE ALL APPRECIATED MORE THAN YOU KNOW! :)

Each week I print 4 Tangle Pattern Strings and usually only do one or two, but this time I felt like doing them all. The 2nd one reminded me of a lady's head, so my next 3 themes were exactly that. thanks for looking - Enjoy!
